Tasting Notes

The dark ruby colored 2015 Balin is a blend of Merlot and Arinarnoa aged in new and one-year-old barriques. Deep, ripe and spicy on the clear and exotic nose, where very elegant, well-concentrted cherry aromas intermix with leather and cedar wood notes, this is a generous and juicy Ticino with a long, intense finish. It is a warm, full-bodied wine with firm tannins that will be fully integrated into the fleshy and lush texture in a few years. (Price: 47 CHF) Tasted in Zürich, August 2017.
